Projects
Avogadro tests emissions from dozens of biomass-fired power plants every year. These include annual compliance tests for PM, PM10, NOX, CO, SO2, ammonia and VOC. The testing programs routinely include RATA of the facility's CEMS and sometimes include measurement of HAPS emissions (metals, PCDD/PCDF, PAH, aldehydes, etc.). The tests are challenging because the matrix of gases and particles can interfere with the measurements, especially at the low concentrations acheived by the emission control devices. The plants may run on mixes of agricultural waste, urban wood waste, sawmill byproducts, or other biomass fuels. These testing programs are commonly repeat annual business built on consistent service and close client relationships.
