Comparison of Four PM2.5 Test Methods

Date:04-07-09

Objective:

Comparing Resulsts from Different Methods

To compare results from four different test methods for measurement of PM2.5 emissions from a metal casting operation. The research was funded by DOD and the automotive industry as part of the development of emission reductions. The four measurements were conducted concurrently during multiple test runs. The testing program generated a tremendous amount of data and results, and met the objectives of the research. The results provide insight into how different test methods provide different results for the same emissions, especially for condensable particulate matter.
