CAREERS: Field Technician

Job Overview:

This entry-level position (Avogadro will train) includes, but is not limited to, the calibration and preparation of source-testing equipment, driving the mobile laboratories to industrial locations throughout the United States, deploy, assemble and operate the sampling equipment (typically on a stack anywhere from ground level to 400 feet above ground level), recover the equipment and travel home.


High school diploma with science or technical classes completed (a four-year college Bachelors degree is preferable). The applicant should be able to lift over 75 pounds, be unafraid of heights, and have a good driving record (must be insurable and capable of maintaing an active DOT card).

Location: Antioch, California, Portland, Oregon, and Phoenix, Arizona
Working Days: Varies
Hours Per Day: Varies, <30 hours/week part-time, 30+ hours/week full-time
Travel Required: Yes, approximately 80% of the time
